1944년 아르헨티나에서 영국 외교관의 아들로 태어난 Chris De Burgh는 영국 더블린에 있는 대학을 다니던 중, 파티에서 한 작곡가를 만나면서 음악계에 입문하게 됐다고 합니다. 이 곡은 1979년에 발표한 <Crusade>앨범에서 히트한 곡으로서 국내에서 많은 사랑을 받았고, 1986년에는 The Lady in Red가 영국 차트 1위에 오르면서 그의 널리 이름을 알리게 됐습니다. 탐욕스러운 왕과 항상 겨울만 계속 되는 그의 나라, 뭔가 해답을 쥐고 있을 것 같은 방문자, 그 방문자의 수난과 역경, 그리고 아쉬운 죽음과 그를 돕는 선인, 그 무덤에서 피어난 꽃들... 마치 옛날 동화를 한편 읽고 있는 듯한 그런 기분이 드는 곡입니다. http://popnlyric.com/home/lyrics/_g/girlwithaprilinhereyes.htm
